Quranic Studies Program
UAF’s Quranic Studies Program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills that will allow each student to read and recite the Quran with proficiency. Each year, students are assigned selective Surahs that they are required to read and recite with proper phonics and with fluency. Additionally, students will be taught selective Tajweed rules that they must demonstrate their understanding of these rules through recognition activities and application throughout their reading and recitation.
UAF’s Quranic Studies Program has been separated into 14 levels from Pre-Kindergarten until the 12th grade. A student starting his/her studies with UAF from Pre-Kindergarten will complete at least 4 1⁄2 Juz’ of Quran by the time he/she graduates his/her senior year. However, new enrollees to UAF will take a Quran Placement Exam and will be placed in their appropriate level according to their individualized Quran Study plan.
