Islamic Studies Program

UAF’s vision with the Islamic Studies Program is to inspire and transform students through a holistic approach to Islamic Tarbiyyah. Educating the Whole Child is a more effective paradigm to teaching today’s Muslim youth because it factors in their development physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, morally, and spiritually. UAF plans to link the content found in the Islamic Studies  Curriculum to the real needs and concerns of students and to the larger issues when facing the world in which they live.

UAF’s Islamic Studies Program also aspires to work with the academic subject teachers implementing interdisciplinary projects and activities showing students that Islam is a complete way of life by linking Islam to everything around them. Furthermore, UAF hopes to present the great Legacy of Islam to our students by showing them the countless contributions that the Muslims and Islam has offered the world. By adopting this approach to Islamic Studies, UAF will properly equip students with the tools they need to invest in their futures after  graduating from UAF and their futures in the Hereafter.
